Chorale

It all started more than 50 years ago...

The Minot Chamber Chorale is a vibrant ensemble of over 40 mixed voices that presents four concerts each year throughout the Minot region. Each performance features a unique theme and takes place at various venues across the city. The concerts are scheduled quarterly in October, December, February, and April. For more than fifty years, the Minot Chamber Chorale has remained committed to delivering exceptional choral music to the Minot community and proudly stands as the only volunteer, mixed chorus in the area.

The Minot Chamber Chorale was established in 1972 to address a gap in the community—a mixed chorus dedicated to performing exceptional choral works. The singers wholeheartedly commit to participating in every concert throughout each season, driven by their profound passion for choral music and the belief that the collective sound transcends individual contributions. The only compensated individuals are the accompanist, director, and guest artists. This spirit of volunteerism has sustained the Chorale, with their collaboration nurturing an atmosphere of goodwill and camaraderie.

Meet Our Directors

A New Season

As we embrace the arrival of a new season, we are excited to introduce our new Choral Director, Ben Eder. Ben will guide the choir through our signature concerts: Pops, Renaissance Feast, and Choral Standards. Furthermore, our Great Works concert will now feature Guest Conductors exclusively. Thus, for our first season with this new format, we are pleased to welcome Dr. Ken Bowles.

"As President of the Minot Chamber Chorale, I am continually inspired by the incredible talent, passion, and dedication of our volunteer members. These singers give their time, energy, and hearts to every rehearsal and performance - not for applause, but for the joy of making music together and enriching our community. Their commitment is the true heartbeat of our organization, and it's an honor to stand beside them in this season of celebration and transition."

- Jennifer Brenna, Board of Directors President (2024 - Present)
